What is camp buildHER?
buildHER is a FREE 3-day camp that provides a unique, hands-on approach to architecture, engineering, and construction careers for girls in grades 7-12. Camp is normally in August and held in Kent, WA.
What will I learn at camp buildHER?
Campers learn the basic elements of various construction trades and role models are on hand to support and mentor them every step of the way. Campers will get the opportunity to participate in engaging activities with a hands on approach, and will develop team building and leadership skills.
Who can apply for the camp?
Our camp is open to all girls in the 7th to 12th grade who have a keen interest in exploring the field of architecture, engineering, and construction. No prior experience is necessary.
How much does the camp cost?
Camp buildHER is completely FREE to campers! You'll get breakfast and lunch while at camp, and lots of cool swag!
What is the application deadline?
We encourage you to apply as early as possible as spots are limited. Camp 2025 is over, please check back after January 1, 2026 for Camp buildHER 2026 dates!
How will I know if I got into the camp?
Each camper accepted to the camp will be contacted via the email listed on their application.
